09/10 Lokahi is hiring a touring campaign person this spring.
Lokahi is hiring a touring campaign person to join us this spring and summer. Lokahi has partnered with Hope Through Healing Hands on their Water = Hope campaign and we’ll be taking the campaign out on the road with Brad Paisley this summer, starting in May.
Our touring crews are responsible for building massive support for the campaigns we have partnered with in the past, including Oxfam, the ONE Campaign and HeadCount. We go out on the road, set up shop at each concert date, train local volunteers, build support among fans all night, then pack up, head to the next town, and do it all over again.
About the position
Ideal person has a strong background in campaign work, fundraising and training volunteers and has also worked in the touring world. Professionalism, maturity and passion are the key qualities we hire around.
This tour is unique in that it’s 35 dates spread out over four months; it’s kind of an ideal set up for the right person! It takes place on primarily three and four day weekends, so the touring person will be flying off and on throughout the summer, never gone for more than four or five days at a time (unless they opt to stay on with the touring crew some weeks, which is an option), which would allow one to potentially maintain another gig or projects back home. All travel expenses are paid for. The tour is offering us bus spots, so no driving is required in between dates; but campaigner needs to be comfortable sleeping on a tour bus and working in such an environment.
Preference will be given to those that can commit to the entire tour. Pay is $175 per date. Tour starts May 21st and runs through September 26th, with several weeks off in late June and early July.

About Water = Hope
Water = Hope is a campaign of Hope Through Healing Hands that is focused on raising funds and advocacy for global clean water projects.
The Water=Hope Campaign is about promoting awareness and advocacy on behalf of the one out of every five people in the world who lack safe drinking water. By spreading the good news that the water crisis is solvable and that by increasing U.S. commitments to clean, safe water, we could save hundreds of thousands of lives, especially those of children, each year in low-income countries.
