Lokahi is excited to have several programs available this summer open to volunteers! Click the link for each project to learn more and sign up!
Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies. We are very excited to be taking Women for Women to Bonnaroo (June 9 - 12) with us this year, where we will have the opportunity to engage and inspire thousands of fans. We have passes for Bonnaroo for volunteers who can work all four days, and opportunities for volunteers that are already attending the festival.

Water = Hope Brad Paisley Tour
For the past two years, Lokahi has partnered with Hope Through Healing Hands, a Nashville based non-profit, helping them create and launch the Water = Hope project, a campaign aimed at bringing attention to clean water issues, building support for the Simon Water for the World Act, and raising funds to build wells. The campaign was launched in partnership with the Brad Paisley H2O tour in 2010, and Lokahi took the campaign on the road with Brad and his crew over the summer. Along the way, we talked to fans in 35 different cities about clean water issues, working with 240 volunteers, raising over $25,000 and getting nearly 15,000 people to sign our statement of support for the Simon Water for the World initiative.
We are excited to be back out on the road with Brad during the summer of 2011.

Arcade Fire Haiti
Working in a partnership with Arcade Fire, we are building support for Partners in Health, Kanpe, and the important work they are doing to help Haitians forge a prosperous future. Over the past year on the Suburbs Tour, we have raised over $160,000 and engaged nearly 40,000 fans to join the 'Stand With Haiti' movement.

2010 Recap
2010 was a big year for Lokahi, working with Hope Through Healing Hands on the Water = Hope campaign, out on the tour with country artist Brad Paisley, where we talked to lots and lots of fans about clean water issues.
We also worked with our friends at Reverb, partnering with Arcade Fire on their tour this summer, building support for Partners in Health, and Kanpe, two amazing organizations working on global health issues, and helping Haiti rebuild.
All in all, our teams talked to and engaged over 30,000 fans over the year, building support for global health and clean water initiatives. We also raised over $80,000, money that will go to build wells and help Haiti. Best of all? Working with the 574 volunteers that joined us in 2010 - we can't thank you all enough for your help, and hope that you'll be continuing this important work in your communities this winter and spring!
